About my paintings
I live in Umbria, Italy. My house is hidden within the wooded slopes of the hills surrounding Lake Trasimeno. This extraordinarily beautiful landscape is the inspiration for my paintings-the trees, the woodland tracks ,the small clusters of stone farmhouses and hilltop villages. These images provide the catalyst for my dance with colours.

Once the initial drawing is complete, I begin a dynamic process of creation and re-creation, spontaneity and thoughtful response as the colours and shapes take on a life of their own.

I paint with acrylic colours and use several tools such as a palette knife, brushes, sponges etc. The combination of acrylic colours that dry quickly and the unpredictable effect of the palette knife, allow me to continue experimenting and to bring an adventurous quality to my work.

In the end the observer sees beyond the forms in my work, perceiving the flow of energy, the movement and vitality-as well as a balance of shape and colour. Nothing can surpass the moment where creativity takes over, leading me on a journey where the infinite starts, time stands still and creation is endless.
